What is an Infrastructure?
Everyone should be familiar with the definition of a network as a system or group of interconnected things. A computer network, or a digital telecommunications network, is a digital network comprised of multiple computers and other computing devices.
Within a computer network, all of the interconnected devices are known as nodes. These nodes exchange data through data links. Data links can be established through physical cable connections like fiberoptic cable, twisted pair, or through no cables at all, as in wireless networks.
Networks have a wide range of uses such as running resource-costly applications and services, supporting instant messaging and email applications, they can link devices to printers, manage digital and audio content, and so much more. The internet is the most recognisable example of a computer network.
So what does it mean to have a solid and reliable infrastructure? It can make or break your business. A solid infrastructure determines the strength of your business foundation, your business security, and your ability to interact and form fruitful relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, investors, vendors, etc.
